Description
The latest Gen 5 Scott Spark RC represents a complete cross-country redesign that prioritizes ride dynamics, lowering the center of mass, and traction over pure frame stiffness. Its most notable update is a radical, inverted horizontal hidden suspension layout that positions the rear shock inside the downtube right above the bottom bracket, concentrating weight low for razor-sharp handling while preserving 120mm of travel. Despite a slacker, more aggressive geometry (with an adjustable head tube angle down to 65.4°) and expanded clearance for wider 29 x 2.4" or 2.6" tires, Scott still managed to shave 200 grams off the frame. The new platform also introduces drastically improved serviceability via a tool-free magnetic-access shock tunnel, internal storage for a multi-tool kit, and an updated Syncros Octopus cable integration system for hassle-free routing..
